Our commitment

MARGEM – Manufacturer of Cleaning Products, Ldabelieves that privacy is a fundamental human right, therefore we are committed to protect people´s fundamental rights and freedom in relation to the processing of their personal data, thus in order to ensure the protection of such rights as well as strict compliance with all EU laws and the Member States, all the collected personal data is limited to the strictly necessary for the purpose to which they are intended without losing sight of the rights of the holders of such data.

Data processing

Personal data collecting  – The processing of personal data by MARGEM, only takes place if the data holders give their consent in a freely, specifically, informed, explicit way and is performed in an unequivocally act. Such consent will be requested when registering online.

Personal data supply is optional. Under the law, you are guaranteed the right to access your data and its rectification, alteration or deletion, simply by communicating it via e-mail to geral@margem.pt

How is the data collected?

Personal data may be collected in the following ways:

– By doing the registration on the website and/or shopping in our online shop;

– By subscribing the newsletter;

– In the act of opening a new customer when buying as retailers;

What data are collected and on what grounds?

The data is collected to follow the user’s request.

– Registration – e-mail and consent.

– Online shop registration and purchase – Log data, customer profile, purchase and billing data required for processing the order.

– Newsletter subscriptions – e-mail and consent – name and surname as an option.

– New Retail Customer – Registration data, customer profile, billing data and contacts.

– Registration and Purchases of Retail Customers – Data from the registration, customer profile, purchase and billing data required for processing the orders.

Data retention and deletion

MARGEM will not retain personal data which would enable persons to be identified for longer than necessary in relation to the purpose for which the data was originally collected.

Billing and purchases data: 10 years due to legal obligation.

Marketing: Automatically deleted when the data has reached  a maximum of 36 months of inactivity  – no purchases are made.

Consent

How it is obtained? The consent for promotional marketing purposes of  MARGEM pis obtained explicitly and clearly, at the time of registration of a new client, or subscription to the online newsletter, since the implementation of the RGPD Law.

How can it be canceled? Cancelling consent can be done simply by using the “unsubscribe” link, presented in all promotional communications electronically, or by sending an  e-mail with the cancelling request to geral@margem.pt

Data processing. How personal data is processed? The Personal data is provided voluntarily by the data owner when buying products or completing the online forms on the website and it is for  MARGEM’s exclusive information and will not be disclosed to third parties without the prior authorization of its holder.

The data owner have, among others, the following rights in relation to personal data processing:

Right to refuse direct marketing;

Right to correct data;

Right to request that the data be erased or forgotten;

Right to request data portability to another entity:

The data storage is done in a safe and credible way, we have triggered all legal tools and the latest security protocols, adopted all the technical and human means within our reach to prevent its misuse.
